6 Months Later...

New developments in the Lewis household.

Isaac FINALLY came home from Iraq on May 1.

Isaac and I took a weekend away to San Antonio where we went to Sea World and saw a Sara Evans concert!!

We drove up to WI for 3 weeks where we relaxed.

While in WI I read the entire Twilight series. I AM ADDICTED!!!!

Isaac's sister, Rachael, is living with us. She has a boyfriend now in Iraq.

Abram just turned 18 months.

Bryse stayed with us for the summer. We had such a blast with him!!!

Isaac's brother, his gf and her son came down for 10 days and we all went to Sea World!

We have a new dog. Her name is Zeppy. Her real name is Zeppelin...I'm not sure if that's how you spell it, but that's part of the reason we call her Zeppy. Lol.

Isaac had a birthday, he is now at the ripe age of 26!

Abram had his birthday party while his Nana was here. He loves his Nana.

Since Isaac has been back, he and Abram have bonded sooo much and it just melts my heart when I see them together!

We picked up Isaac from the airport last night after being gone for 3 weeks. I wasn't sure Abram would remember him, but once he saw him, he started smiling, so I let him down and he ran to his dad and put his arms up.

Abram is working on talking. We're still having some issues, but he's getting it! His favorite word right now is NO! Who would have thought?!

So much more has gone on in the past 6 months, but the rest will have to wait for another time. Maybe I'll update more often, but I can't promise anything!

Where did my little sweet baby go?

Things have been crazy around here with this crazy little monster we call Abram. A few days ago he took his first steps. Call me lame, but my eyes watered up a little bit. I didn't really think he'd be walking for a while yet because he's so top-heavy, so he's had balance issues for a bit now. He's much too concerned with other things around him that crawling is the easier way to get everywhere, so that's what he wants to do for now. He's also started talking a little bit. He'll point at things and say Wow. And he's really good at mimicking things. If the girls are whining, he'll imitate the noise that they make or if you laugh at him, he'll do his fake laugh back at you. We were watching the movie Shooter the other day and he was imitating the sounds that the guns were making. And then someone on the movie said shit, and Abram sure did repeat that! So needless to say, I guess we better start watching our mouths a little more! We have finally discovered Noggin. In case you don't know, it's a tv channel that has preschool Nickelodeon shows. Its so funny to watch him watch that because he gets so excited about it. I cannot believe this child is going to be one whole year old in less than a month. Where did this year go?

I am excited to say one of my dogs has been sooooo good since picking them up after we got back from our trip. You'll never guess who! It's Bill. He's been very clingy, but I will take that over stubborn shithead any day! Kimber on the other hand is just a little witch! She's a horrible listener, she gets scared over EVERYTHING so she gets confused, and yesterday she nipped Elena in the face! She is driving me insane!

If I ever find my cord for my camera, I'll post some more pictures from when we were home, but until then use your imagination! So long for now!

What was I thinking?! Its soooo cold!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! We're in Wisconsin visiting family right now. We've been here for 2 weeks now. I'd say one of our better visits. My mom and I have kept fighting to a minimum, so that's nice! My sister and I are a different story. But that's nothing new, so at least she's making me feel right at home again! But anyways. Christmas went pretty well. Abram got Live Elmo and he LOVES it! It's kind of cute. I can only keep it out for so long before it's driving me insane, so we only see Elmo for about 15 minutes a day! I got some beautiful amazing diamond earrings from Isaac and two ipods from my family and of course my plane ticket home! I think Isaac had a pretty good Christmas too, considering. It sucked for all of us that he wasn't here, but he got the package from Abram and I with some good movies and treats, but an even better surprise was his family sent him a package too! Unfortunately, not too many people from home keep in touch with him. Every time I see people, they ask for his email address, but no one ever seems to follow through. Does that happen to anyone else!? That's annoying to me. Don't ask if you don't really care. But anyways. My mom's dog is very possibly the worst behaved, most annoying dog in the world. So being with her for almost three weeks has really made me miss my dogs and realize that they really aren't that bad! Before I left, they were driving me insane! So I hope they're happy to see me and stay on their best behavior, because supposedly, they are both acting like angels for their new caregivers! I'm ready to come home and get out of this freeeeezing state! The day before I left TX it was in the 70s! I got here the next day and the windchill was negative 20!!! I don't know how I lived here for 2o years! We're really going to have to rethink this moving back to Wisconsin business because I'm not so crazy about that anymore! We won't be moving back anytime soon though! We are officially in the army forever now! Our reenlistment, extension, whatever it is, is done and taken care of. FINALLY! I was starting to wonder if it was ever going to happen!

I think it is finally time to see the ear doctor! While we've been home, Abram has finally gotten his 5th ear infection in 8 months. We're going to a recheck shortly after we get home and I am not leaving Dr Olufs office until we have a referral! I was outside in the cold wind for a bit today and I had ear aches from that, and those went away after a little bit! I forget about how painful that is! No wonder Baby just crawls around crying and wakes up at night crying! That sucks! We also cut our 8th tooth, so he now has his four front teeth on top and bottom. Such a big boy! He's also getting much better at walking. We tricked him into taking a few steps on his own a couple of time and he's now saying more "words"...baba mama nana dada. Dada has been his favorite for months now! It's cute though. I was excited when he finally said mama though. I know he isn't directing it towards me, but it's really sweet.

I will post some pictures from our journey to the Frozen Tundra once we get home. Have a fabulous day and we'll see you soon!!!

Love
Abram, Isaac, Christina, Bill and Kimber!

He thought a duck cleaning itself was the funniest thing!

A big pig at the pumpkin patch.

We can be so mean to this poor boy.

He got caught eating dirt! Ahhh! If that was only the worst thing he'll ever do!

So here are some more pictures, mostly from October while Isaac was home. We, of course, had a great time while he was here and with he didn't have to leave, but I honestly cannot believe how quick this deployment is going! I hope that doesn't mean that the time in between when they come back and deploy again doesn't fly by. I really wish they went back to the 6 month deployments. That would be such a breeze! Ohh well I guess. What are we going to do?

Abram went in for his 9 month appointment last week. We found out that he weighs 23 pounds and is 29 inches. We also found out that he had RSV and double ear infections! Real nice mom. He got over the RSV once he got on some steroids for his lungs but the medicine didn't help him with his ears this time, so he's on the 3 days in a row of the shots. I forgot what they're called, but I couldn't believe how quick he was in such a good mood! I miss this happy sweet child! I'm not sure why they won't just refer us to the ENT already. I had ear infections like crazy when I was a kid and he's already on his 4th ones in each ear in 7 months. It doesn't seem to me that this problem is going to go away on it's own. I had 3 sets of tubes in my ears. I know they're in our future, so I'm getting frustrated that we're still dealing with these ears. But we'll survive.

Sorry it took so long to post again! I've warned you though. I'm not good at this nonsense! Have a good day! Until our next post....

Love,

Christina, Isaac, Abram, Bill, and Kimber.

He's Gone.

Isaac left back for Iraq yesterday. Leave was really great and I'm so glad he got to come home. It sucks he had to leave so soon, but we'll be just fine. While he was home we bought a new computer. desk, car seat for Abram, irrigation system for our lawn, and sod for the back yard. So any money we had saved up from the deployment so far is now gone. So I'm sure someone will be on my butt about saving money. I think I'll be able to do it though. Today is Halloween and I'm not sure what we're up to yet, but I'm sure we'll figure something out. He was going to be a mobster, but Isaac wanted him to be a pumpkin and I said hell no. So instead of those, he's going to be a spider. It's cute and good enough for his first year. We're changing cable providers today and he should be here soon so I should probably clean up my house a little. I'll be back with pictures and whatnot soon.

Abram and Dad. Aw, make me cry!

I finally had to put some pictures up so that someone doesn't bite my head off! I'll have a bunch more in a little while. I probably won't post for a few weeks. So, Robin, don't worry! I'll be back!

I Am Going Insaaaaane!

Ok, so I just might die pretty soon. I am veeeery spoiled with how much I get to talk to Isaac. Not counting these last couple of days, I've talked to him every day except for maybe 10 this whole deployment. So first, it's really strange not to have talked to him since Tuesday (today is Thursday). I would be totally fine with that fact if I would know what the hell is going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was supposed to be here on leave this past Monday, but then a few days before he was supposed to leave Iraq, things got changed. This is the Army, I've come to expect that, so no biggie. But I have no idea of where in the world, literally, he is. I keep waiting for him to walk through my front door and surprise me. Not a good surprise. I would like to look half way decent when he comes, not unshowered, no makeup, and in PJs. Not to mention I need a few hours notice to make my house perfect for him. Ah!!! I'm just going a little crazy at the moment. I would like to say thanks to my mom, Bern, and Celia though for the help. This place would probably still look and smell like the dump if it weren't for their motivation. I procrastinate so much it should be illegal.
